Delete your account
What happens to your account and your contributions, and why deletion can be refused while a subscription is running.
Delete
- Open Settings, Profile tab, Danger zone section.
- Click Delete my account, then confirm.
The operation is irreversible. You are signed out immediately.
What happens
Your personal data is anonymised: your name is replaced by "Utilisateur Supprimé" (deleted user) and your email address is erased. Projects, and what you wrote in them, remain in place for the other members.
Projects you own
They are not deleted with your account. Before leaving, hand them over to another member (in My projects, project card menu › Transfer project), or export and then delete the projects that are no longer used.
When deletion is refused
An account that is still paying cannot be deleted: otherwise the subscription would keep being billed. Deletion is refused as long as:
- your own subscription is active, trial included, unless its cancellation is already scheduled;
- you are paying for a subscription gifted to someone.
Cancel from Settings › Billing › Invoices and payment, or stop the gift from the Team page (Gift a subscription), then try again. If you are yourself the recipient of a gifted subscription, nothing prevents you from deleting your account.
