Log your time
Record time spent on a ticket, correct it, and understand what it feeds: actual cost, the daily and the team's workload.
- Plan
- All plans
- Required permission
- Tickets › EditDefault: Product Owner, Scrum Master, Tech Team, Business Analyst, Quality Analyst, plus the project owner and admins.
Track time
- Open the ticket you worked on.
- In Track time, enter the Duration, the Work date and, if you like, a Comment ("what was done").
- Click Save time.
The ticket page's Time history lists all the ticket's entries and their total.
Logging after the fact
Choose the actual work date, even if you log it later: it determines the daily rate applied and the "yesterday" of the daily.
Delete an entry
Everyone deletes their own entries. The project owner and admins can delete other people's. Deleting a ticket also deletes its time entries.
What logged time feeds
- The project's actual cost, in Finance: each entry is valued at the person's daily rate on the work date. See How actual cost is calculated.
- The daily: time logged the day before appears in the round.
- Each member's workload, on the Team page.
