Deletion of inactive projects
A project nobody has opened for six months is deleted. Here is how you are warned, and how to avoid it.
The rule
A project is deleted automatically when no member has opened it for six months. This rule is part of the terms of use.
Any visit to the project by a member counts: an application page, MyDoc, or a call through the API or an AI assistant. Automatic syncs (connectors, webhooks) do not count.
You are warned
The project owner receives an email three months, one month, ten days, three days and the day before the deletion. They always get at least three months' notice. A final email confirms the deletion once it has happened.
Keep the project
It is enough for one member to open the project. The visit resets the counter, and the scheduled deletion is cancelled.
Deletion is permanent
It removes the whole project: backlog, sprints, documentation and attachments. To keep a record of a finished project, export it first: see Import a backlog.
