Monthly or yearly: choose your billing option
What the 12-month commitment involves, what monthly allows, and how to switch from one to the other.
The two options
The Team and Portfolio plans come in two options:

From monthly to yearly
In Settings › Billing, click Switch to yearly. The switch is immediate: your year and your twelve-month commitment start that day, and the current month is deducted pro rata.
From yearly to monthly
This is only possible at the end of the paid year. Cancel from Invoices and payment, then subscribe to the monthly option on the end date. The Billing tab shows the date from which it is possible.
After the 12 months
At the end of the commitment period, the subscription continues without a new commitment: it can then be cancelled at any time. The Billing tab tells you so.
The trial does not start the commitment
No commitment runs during the 30-day trial. With the yearly option, the twelve months start with the first payment, on day 31. See The 30-day free trial.
