When a ticket is waiting for review
A ticket placed in a "review" type column (see Kanban) shows the QA review panel on its page. Each acceptance criterion and each Definition of Done item will receive a verdict.
Run a round
- Open the ticket, switch to edit mode (Edit to run the review), then Start round.
- If needed, fill in the Tested version (build, branch, URL) and the Environment.
- Give each item a verdict: Passed, Failed, Not testable or To check. For a failed item, describe what is wrong: steps, actual result, expected result.
- Add free items if needed: edge cases, regressions.
- Accept (no failed item and nothing left to check) or Reject (at least one failed item). You can move the ticket to another status at the same time.
Each round is numbered and kept: a rejected ticket goes back for a new round.
An accepted review can become stale
If the ticket goes back after acceptance, the review is marked Stale. Combined with a "QA review accepted" transition rule, it prevents the ticket from being moved to done without a new review.
Reviews are done from a computer. By default, the "Review" permission belongs to the Product Owner, the Business Analyst and the QA.
