A page or a button is missing

The four possible causes when a page is missing from the menu or a button is absent, and how to find the right one.

Manifst hides what you cannot use. When something is missing, one of these four causes is the reason. Check them in order.

1. Your role has no access to the page

Each project page (Super Epics, Epics, Roadmap, Tickets, Sprints, Kanban, Team, RACI, Risks, Finance, Library, MyDoc) depends on your Scrum role's Access page permission. Without it, the page disappears from the menu.

Common examples with the default settings:

  • Team is only visible to the project owner and admins;
  • Finance is only visible to the Product Owner, the Project Manager and the PMO.

Solution: ask a project admin to adapt your role's permissions or to change your role. See Roles and permissions.

2. Your role is not allowed to perform this action

The page is there, but the Create, Edit or Delete button is missing. By default, for instance, only the Product Owner and the Scrum Master create and start sprints, only the Tech Team role votes in planning poker, and the Tech Team does not create tickets.

Solution: the same as above. The default permissions matrix shows who can do what.

3. Your plan does not include the feature

Some features depend on your own plan, even in a subscriber's project: editing risks, the RACI, milestones and dependencies, configuring a connector, exporting to PowerPoint, the portfolio, the API. The button is then missing or marked "Included from the … plan onwards".

Solution: move to the plan shown (Subscribe or change plan), or ask a project admin to gift you a subscription. Capabilities are detailed in Plans and capabilities.

4. You are not in the right project

Pages always show the current project, whose name is at the top of the menu. Switch project with the icon next to its name, or from My projects.

Project settings follow your permissions

In Settings, the Project tab only shows the cards your permissions let you change (tags, statuses, ticket types, transition rules). The Access and Data tabs are reserved for the project owner and admins, with one exception: API keys and AI assistants appear in Access for anyone holding the "Use an AI assistant or the API" permission.
