Duplicate a project

Start again from an existing project as a template: what is always copied, what you choose to copy, and what never is.

Duplicate

  1. In My projects, open the project card's menu, then Duplicate.
  2. Name the new project.
  3. Tick what you want to copy (see below), then confirm.

Any member of a project can duplicate it: the copy does not change the source, and you own the new project. The new project counts towards your quota: the option is hidden if your project quota is reached.

Always copied

The configuration: lists of statuses, ticket types and tags, role permissions, transition rules, RACI matrix (participants limited to members), Definition of Done and contingency.

Your choice

  • Content: Super Epics, epics and tickets; statuses and priorities (otherwise everything restarts at the first status and normal priority); sprints and assignment; subtasks; acceptance criteria; applied tags; assignees; comments; attachments; time entries (copied under your account).
  • Governance and documentation: risk register, roadmap (milestones), budget, MyDoc documentation.
  • Team: members, with their role, daily rate and department.

Two options to handle with care

  • Budget: a copied budget distorts the new project's earned value indicators.
  • Attachments: they count against your plan's storage. If they exceed your quota, duplication is refused: untick them.

A member who has already reached their plan's project limit is not added to the copy; Manifst tells you who.

Never copied

Connectors and their access tokens, your dashboard layout, and history: poker sessions, retrospectives, meetings, Launchpad generations.
